Equipment & Process Competence
Operators and PML personnel learn how individual machines work, how the stages connect and how a complete mineral-processing line is operated and controlled.

NORSE MINING CENTER · NMC
Norse Mining Center, NMC, is being developed as the place where technology becomes knowledge — and where knowledge is translated into practical mineral processing and production.
THE SHARED TECHNICAL PLATFORM
NMC is intended to give PML holders, their personnel and their TSA partners access to a professional technical environment for training, testing and mineral processing.
Instead of every new mining operation having to build the same competence, equipment and organisation from the beginning, several independent operations can use one shared professional platform.
NORSE OPERATIONS MODEL
The operations model below shows how NMC is intended to connect PML licence holders, TSA delivery, technical support and Tanzanian operations within one shared system.

Illustrative operating model. Commercial fees, statutory percentages and legal responsibilities shown in the graphic must be verified against the applicable Tanzanian agreements and regulations before implementation.
NMC is not designed to replace the mine. It is designed to build the competence that allows the mine and its people to perform better.
WHAT NMC DOES
The centre brings learning, testwork and practical process operation together in the same technical environment.
Operators and PML personnel learn how individual machines work, how the stages connect and how a complete mineral-processing line is operated and controlled.
Representative material is characterised and tested so that process decisions are based on the ore and measured results rather than assumptions.
Crushing, grinding, classification and physical separation can be demonstrated and operated as connected process stages, subject to the licences and approvals required in Tanzania.
Sampling, assays, operating data and mass balance create records that make the process easier to understand, review and improve.
FROM MACHINE TO SYSTEM
Crushing, grinding, classification and separation are not only production stages at NMC. They are part of the training environment. People need to see how material moves, how settings affect the next stage and how the complete line behaves under real operating conditions.
WHY A SHARED CENTER?
Participating licence holders can access technical competence, process knowledge and a structured operating environment without each operation having to duplicate the same capability from the beginning.
TSA support can include more than equipment. NMC provides a setting where technical methods can be demonstrated, practised and progressively transferred to Tanzanian personnel.
The long-term value is not only the equipment installed. It is the ability of local personnel to understand, operate and improve the process independently.
Norse Mining Center, NMC, is currently under establishment. The functions described on this page represent the planned NMC operating model and will expand as the centre becomes operational and the required Tanzanian licences and approvals are in place.
Norse in Tanzania, NiT, collaborates with NMC in Tanzania while remaining a separate actor.
